Archer Armstrong in Concert

Thursday, Dec. 3 & 17 | 7pm

A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Asher Armstrong is an assistant professor of piano at the University of Arkansas and a member of the Royal Conservatory’s College of Examiners. Asher adjudicates hundreds of pianists across North America every year. In his first virtual performance for Butterfield residents, he will share the intimate world of Brahms’ last works for piano. Separated into two opuses (Ops. 116 and 119), the works have been rightly celebrated by music theorists and historians for their masterful architecture and compositional rigor.
