Depots, Cabooses and Equipment with Railroad Historian Mike Sypult

Today’s fun program will focus on the unique history of Arkansas’ local train depots, cabooses and equipment – with guest railroad historian Mike Sypult. Mike is a Rogers native and a graduate of Arkansas Tech University and Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Mike taught at the University of Arkansas for 15 years and developed the Whistle Stops West Elderhostel program, featuring Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City by rail. He is president of the Arkansas-Boston Mountains Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society in Springdale. Mike is the father of Nathan Sypult, event technician for Butterfield Trail Village.
