The Taliano’s tradition is steeped in the rich heritage of family, friends and fine food. In 1970, childhood friends Tom J. Caldarera, Jr. and James J. Cadelli turned to a love they both knew well: authentic Italian food. Guided by their mothers, Concetta Caldarera and Lola Cadelli, they were told, “If you are going to do Italian food, you have to do it the authentic Italian way.” Generations of these pioneering families have spent hours in the kitchen perfecting sauces, handmade pasta and salad dressings. The tradition continues to evolve with the involvement of the fifth generation of the Caldarera family now working in the restaurant. Enjoy dinner in the historic 1887 Sparks Mansion!
