St. Paul’s Episcopal Church presents a lecture by the Rt. Rev. Mariann Bishop Budde, Bishop of Washington.

Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde is the spiritual leader of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, serving congregations and schools in Washington, D.C., and parts of Maryland. The first woman elected to this role, she is also chair of the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation, overseeing the ministries of Washington National Cathedral. A nationally respected voice for justice, Bishop Budde advocates for racial equity, gun violence prevention, immigration reform, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and care of creation. She is the author of How We Learn to Be Brave and We Can Be Brave. Join us for a reception before this enlightening lecture on Moral Courage, part of the Tippy McMichael Speaker Series.
